Goodbye AuthoredIn. Welcome, AuthoredUp!
Why the name change? Read on!
5 months ago, we launched a small web extension to help people preview and add basic formatting to their LinkedIn posts.
The idea was to scratch our own itch and test if anyone else experienced the same issues.
The answer turned out to be an overwhelming YES. š¤
8000 people are using AuthoredIn today.
In the process, we learned that post-editing is just the tip of the iceberg. š§
⢠How to generate post ideas?
⢠How to write engaging posts?
⢠How to get the highest ROI?
⢠How to build a content machine?
We want to help our customers with all aspects of building a social presence.
We don't want to be seen as one-more-LinkedIn-tool.
We started aligning with that vision a month ago with the launch of the AuthoredIn Platform.
And now, it is time to align our name as well.
Internally, we were always saying, "we want to empower people, to level them up."
So, welcome AuthoredUp. š
What does this mean for you?
You can see the changes on our new website (authoredup.com) and in version 0.6.0 of the extension.
Everything else about the product stays the same.
You should experience no disruptions in your workflow, except you might need to log in on the site again.
AuthoredIn 0.5.1, with an important fix
We've released a minor version 0.5.1, with an important fix.
If you kept getting the red badge error, and don't have a profile picture on your account, please update and try again.
The lack of profile picture was preventing the extension from loading properly. š
AuthoredIn 0.5.0 + a special offer
The new version of AuthoredIn is available š
It is all about metrics to help you write better posts.
Plus we have a special offer. š
We used to show you only the character count.
Now you can also track:
⢠Word count
⢠Number of paragraphs
⢠Number of sentences
⢠Estimated reading time
On top of that, you can also see the readability score of your text. š«
Yes, the same formula as the Hemingway app.
It can help you reach a wider audience.
We tested how LinkedIn influencers write, and in 90% of cases, they keep their grade between 1 and 5.
---ā------ā------ā------ā---
This time, we have a special offer.
Our friends from LeadDelta give 20% off on monthly and annual plans.
I, Ivana Todorovic, have been using their tool for 10 months, which helps me manage my LinkedIn network.

PS: This post is a grade 2 ā
Scheduling is coming to Linkedin. We were the first ones to try it out.
Takeaways:
⢠Schedule multiple posts in advance
⢠Schedule any post type (text, image, pdf, video)
⢠You can mention people and companies (something not possible via other scheduling apps, like Buffer or Hootsuite)
⢠You can schedule between 1.5 hours and 3 months in advance
⢠You can manage your scheduled posts from the same screen where you write posts.
⢠Since AuthoredIn integrates straight into LinkedIn, we should be able to support native LinkedIn scheduling straight out of the gate.
What seems to be missing?
⢠Without AuthoredIn, you can still only have one draft
⢠You cannot edit a post after it is scheduled
⢠You can not schedule posts for pages (that is probably coming later)
